Windows 10: Windows upgrade from 7 to 10 - Compatibility for MS Office, VB, and Visual Studio

Will I be able to continue using my current MS Office 2013,

Visual Basic 6.0, Visual Studio 2012 after upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10?


I am using a Dell Precision M6700 with a 64-bit OS

I understand your query related to compatibility of applications after upgrading to Windows 10. Usually, during the process of upgrade if any application is not compatible with Windows 10, you will receive a notification about the application.



Concerning, towards your query Microsoft Office 2013 is compatible with Windows 10. You can refer the article

However, Visual Studio 2012 is not completely compatible with Windows 10, so you might face some issues while using the application. You can try installing the latest version of Visual Studio from the
Microsoft website



Similarly, Visual Basic 6.0 is also an old program which was designed to run on older version of Windows. One of the things that you can try is running it in compatibility mode and see if the application is working fine. Refer the article

Thank you Prakhar. I have not yet upgraded to Windows 10, my questions are in preparation and to make sure my upgrade is not going to be an unreversible mistake.
