Windows 10: Windows Upgrading To What Version?

Heeey! It's been so long since I've been here!

Anyways, because of a hard drive issue (which led to two hard drive failures: one back in June and another one just 2 months later) I had to get my laptop to assistance (The official Acer one since it's still under warranty). They had to replace the hard drive.

It booted into a clean Win10 install (not the original OEM one, which sucks because there's this pleasure of having Acer Care Center and the built in third-party games) and it was 1903 for some reason (unlike the original which came with 1809 and which I upgraded to 1903 and 1909).

Now that everyone's saying that 1903 will go EOL this December, I kinda wonder what version it'll upgrade to.

(I don't really want 2004 because people are STILL having problems)

Edit: now that I think about it, is 1909 still offered automatically instead of being optional like it's the case for 2004? Because that would be extremely helpful!

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Anyone can upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for $14.99.

There are two upgrades for Windows8. The $40 offer which DOES not require a key for prior version of Windows and then there is the $14.99 version for recently new purchasers of a Win7 box WHICH requires in step 2 to enter your Windows7 key.

 

Stuck in Windows 10 Upgrade

My computer seems to be stuck in a Windows 10 failed upgrade loop. I was running fine on a beta version of Windows 10, and then I came downstairs one morning to see it repeatedly booting, attempting to repair, then rebooting. The steps I've taken to diagnose are:

• Attempting to boot off a USB drive (with all drives disabled in BIOS) - this fails at the point of the blue windows screen
  
• Attempting to boot the machine itself and getting into "repair/safe mode" using F7
  
• Looking at the BIOS for obvious failures (e.g. RAM that should be there is missing) - nothing obvious is wrong.
  

I am fairly certain the build version was 9926. For many months, the system would attempt to upgrade, and then say "it failed" for some reason and roll back.

Suggestions for next steps?
