Windows 10: windows upodate will not complete with a return code of 0x800f0922

windows update dowloaded kb4490481. i hit the restart button. it started to do the updates and go to 30% and rebooted. upon rebooting it continued to do finish the updates till it got to 94% complete and hanged there. the system message that it could not complete the updates and began to back out them out.

i ran the update troubleshooter. i t found no problems. i then went into sysfig and then startup to disable the programs to do a clean boot. i restarted. once this was done i did the update again, no luck, the same error code and it stuck at 94% occurred again. I had this same problem last month. what i did was to manually load the update and at that time it worked, went toc ompletion. I tried it again this time with no luck at all. i hope i can get this resolved , thanks.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows refuses to update - Error 0x800f0922


Windows won't update, i ran sfc as an Admin in CMD and no issues.

• Adobe is activated on Edge but still doesn't work, could this be related?

What is the error that you see on Startup? Provide complete and exact error code or message.

I suggest that you run the SFC scan and check if it helps to improve the Computer performance. Follow the steps :

• Press Windows + X
• Click Command prompt (Admin)
• Type sfc /scannow
• Press Enter
