Windows 10: Windows UWP Apps Open minimized to taskbar on reboot.

Found the toggle in settings to re-open apps state on reboot. Only issue for some reason the UWP Windows 10 apps Calendar,Weather,Calculator open minimized to taskbar. Where Firefox and Sticky Notes and other 3rd party apps are fully open in their last position and size.

Why how is that more helpful if I still have to click on them minimized to open? As I could just click on the taskbar icons to launch them anyways. As either method takes the same amount of effort and time.

Anyway to force them to be fully open on reboot? As find it a bit annoying and useless in current behaviour.

Windows 10: Change taskbar icon of an UWP app

I've come up with a simple workaround for pinning websites to the taskbar. Create a new shortcut and paste the following as the target:

(opens in default browser)

or

(always opens in Edge)

Set "Run" to "minimized" and pin it to the taskbar. You probably also want to change the icon (btw you can get the .ico icon of a website by copying it from a Chrome website-shortcut).

EDIT:

You can use the same method for pinning UWP app shortcuts with custom icons to the taskbar. You have to put the shortcut of the UWP somewhere (by dragging it from the start menu). So let's say you have a UWP App called "Example App" on the desktop. Then you create a shortcut with the target

Then set "Run" to "minimized", add your custom icon and pin it to the taskbar.

I'm looking for a way to autorun GPU-Z minimized on Windows 7 x64. If I stick a shortcut in the start-up folder and change the properties to "run minimized" it doesn't minimize to the tray but instead to the taskbar. So I have to click on the taskbar and press on minimize every time I reboot my system. This is a little bit annoying if you reboot often.

Icons of UWP/Metro apps not showing in taskbar





Icons of UWP/Metro/Modern apps (first gap in the image is Edge, second (the active app) is mail, third is Twitter) are not showing up in the taskbar, nor when they're pinned, nor when they're opened. Icons of classic desktop (Win32) apps are visible. Icons
from the right to PowerShell are pinned, from Slack to the right are just opened.

I've tried several reboots, upinning and re-pinning the apps and a script suggested here: Icons pinned to task bar are not displayed properly on Windows 10.,
but my problem isn't solved. Any ideas?
