Windows 10: Windows version 1809 - excel displays new comment instead of insert comment

updated to windows version 1809. I use Excel 365. Went to update a spreadsheet created prior to getting update version 1809. Now when I try to insert a comment the option is not there. The option appears to be replaced with New Comment & creates a blue triangle in the top right corner of the cell. Is there a way to get Insert Comment back on the drop down list?

2010 version Excel comments not displaying in windows

my 2010 version of Excel does not display comments. it only shows arrows but no boxes. I have to edit the comments by dragging box close to the cell and resizing the box. Is any simply way to resolve this issue?

I think you are posting in the wrong forum under the wrong category. You would get more informed help by posting in an Office forum about Excel. As the opening poster you actually have the option of moving your thread by editing the opening post to do
that.

Comments and tags not saved or disappears

Hello,

Could you please answer few question:

• 
  Are you not able to see the Comments section in the file or the comment is missing for the MP3 file in the file section?
  

If the Comment section is missing, I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

Right click on the categories where you see the file section and click on more and scroll down and check on Comments section and check if it helps.
