Windows 10: Windows Virtual Desktops not switching after disabling animations

A recent couple of months old by now update to Windows 11 enabled animations every time I switch virtual desktops. I use them extensively. The problem is that the animation slides the whole screen and that gives me bad motion sickness. One slide is enough to trigger the symptoms. I am switching many times a day.So I disabled all Windows animations in Accesibility > Visual Effects because I did not find a specific setting for Virtual Desktops. Hello, I recently upgraded on windows 11. I notice that virtual desktop switching animation is not working. Please someone tell to how to fix this?

 

Windows 10 Virtual Desktop Switching Animation

I recently discovered the option to use multiple virtual desktops in Windows 10, and I've already found it to be useful for quickly switching between programs without having to minimize windows and look through tabs to find what I have open.

One use I thought it would be good for would be quickly switching between two desktops, one with a videogame in fullscreen being played and another with, say, a program displaying system temperatures open, to be able to easily transition from playing a game
to checking on my system to make sure it's running well. However, upon trying this, I found it wasn't all great. It works as expected, but when using the Ctrl + Windows + Arrow key shortcut to switch from the desktop the game is running on to the other one,
I found that the game will be be minimized when I switch back to the desktop it is on, and the animation for switching from the game desktop to the secondary desktop does not play properly when the game is in fullscreen - it will instead show a black screen
for roughly the duration of the normal animation, and then the desktop I was switching to will appear with no animation at all. This isn't the smooth experience I was hoping to get, so I'm wondering if there is some way to fix both of these problems - the
animation not showing when switching from a desktop with a fullscreen game running on it, and that fullscreen game now being minimized when I get back to it.

Any help would be appreciated, as this is a feature I want to make use of but will refrain from using if issues such as these exist.

 

Virtual desktops animations are slow

I have a powerful laptop with Windows 10 Pro installed :

• CPU : i7-4712HQ @2.3Ghz
• RAM : 16 GB
• Video : Nvidia GeForce GT 750M

When I switch between virtual desktops the animations are pretty laggy, which it's kinda weird, because on my Surface 3 Pro which is a low weaker than this laptop the animations are very smooth.

Do you have any idea of what I can try ?

PS : Animation is not so slow, but it has some lag. I also have in the Intel and Nvidia Graphics all set up to high performance.
