Windows 10: Windows Vista Media Center on Windows 10?

So, I wanted to get windows vista media center on windows 10 to see what it would look like. Something I already tried was copying the files from windows vista to windows 10 and using the compatibility troubleshooter to try and get it to work with windows 10, but one of the applications would always log me out. This is another thing that I would like help with.I know that there have been other posts about this to be honest, I only looked at one, and the solution took me to 2 download sites, neither of which seemed official. Windows Media Center IR Remote on Windows Vista Ultimate

No, I havent purchased the Windows Media Center IR Remote yet. But the Remote comes with the IR Receiver at the place where I'm going to purchase it from.

So, I just want to confirm this, I can switch from my Cable TV to my PC Desktop with the Media Center IR Remote on Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit if my cable box is connected to my monitor via composite connector and my monitor to my PC via DVI-D connector?

 

Help save Windows Media Center

With the release of Windows 10 Microsoft has decided not to support Windows Media Center any longer. I have been using Windows Media Center as the backbone of my HTPC setup for around 10 years now and I hate to see it go. In my opinion it was the easiest to setup and have the most polished user interface. If you would like to try and save Windows Media Center please sign the petitions that follow.
