    Hello.We are running a Windows 2019 with Desktop Experience system. The hardware for the server is a Dell PowerEdge 730 appliance. The system utilizes iSCSI connections to a Nexsan Unity 3300 array with a Nexsan U2G460 expansion bay. During the past month, one of the volumes on the server disappears. Specifically, the volume, R:. is no longer present in the File Explorer or the Disk Manager snap-in console. The array lists the volume along with all others that are mounted on the server. A check of the Event Viewer indicated the following warnings:Event 51, Disk - An error was detected on devic

  2. Mystery try icons appeared, point cursor at them, they disappear...

    Dear All:

    i have these mysterious tray icons appearing (top left corner, top row, the left three icons). windows 10, 64.

    i looked at my start up list on the task manager, none match these icons.

    two of the icons are the same (left most two on the top row): white/grey, wiht a bit of blue on the top half.

    one is a mysterious red icon, a bit space age looking.

    please see the attached pictures below.

    once i point my cursor on those icons (or very close to them), they disappear.

    i tried and tried to look them up but to no avail. any assistance would be most appreciated.

  3. Disappearing volume control icon on taskbar

    I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with Windows 10. I will certainly help you.



    This issue might occur if there is change in volume icon settings.

    To assist you better, please provide us the information below:

    • Have you checked the issue with other user accounts?

    I suggest you to follow the steps below to turn off and then turn on volume icon. Check if it helps.

    Method 1: I recommend you to try to turn on the system icon for volume by following below steps.

    1. Click on Search bar.

    2. Type "Turn system icons on and off" without the quotes and click on it.

    3. Turn off and then try to turn on the volume icon
    from the list.

    If the issue still persist, refer to the method below.

    Method 2: Try to update the audio driver in the Device Manager and check if it helps.

    1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

    2. Then type “devmgmt.msc” without the quotes and hit on Enter Key.

    3. Expand Audio inputs and outputs.

    4. Right click on the driver and click on Update Driver Software.

    I would suggest you to hover the mouse on that blue earth icon to know the name of the application.

    If you are able to identify that application name then, I suggest you to check if that application is present in the
    Programs and Features. Follow the below steps:

    • Right click on the Start button and select Control Panel from the list.
    • Click on Programs and Features.
    • Check if that application is present.
    Also, check if that application is present in the Apps & features from the following steps:

    • Press Windows + I keys from the Keyboard to open the
      Settings.
    • Click on System and click on Apps & features from the left pane.
    • Check if that application is present.
