Windows wakes back up immediately after being put to sleep.

Hello, I bought a computer a couple months ago Windows 11, and from the first time I tried putting it to sleep, it wakes up immediately after being put to sleep. I click sleep and my screens turn off for about half a second and then my computer turns back on. I've tried a lot to track down the issue and fix this, but to no avail. This is what I've attempted thus far.C:\Windows\System32>powercfg -waketimersThere are no active wake timers in the system.C:\Windows\System32>powercfg -lastwakeWake History Count - 1Wake History [0] Wake Source Count - 0C:\Windows\System32>powercfg

    :)

Win 10 Wakes Immediately Upon Sleep

Out of the blue my wireless mouse disconnected a few days ago (fully charged...). It was intermittently very bad for a couple of days. Since then it's been better & last couple of days it's only faltered once or twice.

Also since then when sleeping it wakes immediately. Cmd suggests it's the USB 3? But there is nothing in the USB port & it's been working ok last couple of days... The mouse is not connected to a usb 3.0 port, more so a USB 2.0 port but have taken all USB's out completely so it can't be USB.

Tried already this well written article [URL="https://thegeekpage.com/fix-computer-automatically-waking-up-from-sleep-in-windows-10/[/URL] amongst another several step article:
    • Device Manager - deleted all USB devices & rebooted
    • Device Manager - checked if update is required to USB drivers; does not appear so
    • Device Manager - set all mice Power Management > not to wake up computer
    • Disabled wake timers in Power Options. Despite this it allows the clicking of the mouse to wake (when the machine does actually go to sleep). I cannot say every time as more often than not the machine will not sleep but I mention to be thorough.
    • Wireless adapter does not have wake timers enabled
    • Deleting all usb ports in device manager & restarting.
    • Power plan > no dodgy settings. Thought it might be setting "On Battery" never put to sleep but that's not the case.
    • Device Manager Network Adapter - no wake settings
    • Event viewer shows USB 3.0 causing it (2 pics)Attachment 388361
    • Event Scheduler loaded fine at first. Then following the article after installing PSTools I get a warning pic attachedAttachment 388362
    • Event Scheduler Reboot_AC & Reboot_Battery are disabled
    • Task Scheduler Library -> Microsoft -> Windows -> UpdateOrchestrator is missing; there is no updateOrchestrator as in fix-6 of the article. I'll take this with a pinch of salt as the article is not 100% with my machine, I'm not getting a prompt when loading cmd to allow access to UAC... so I'll take it with a pinch of salt
    • sc config “UsoSvc” start= disabled
    • Regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon > PowerdownAfterShutdown = 0.
    • Windows Update is latest settings

Windows 10 - Wakes immediately from sleep.

    Hello t4ord,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Sleep mode saves the state of all open applications to memory, then powers down both the display panel and hard disk drive. However, if it often wakes up from Sleep mode, you need to change the Sleep settings under Power &
sleep. You can also refer this link regarding shutdown, sleep,
    or hibernate your PC.

If that doesn’t help, kindly check with the steps listed below and see if it works.

Method 1: Restore default settings of power plan.

Let’s restore the power settings to its default and check if it makes any difference. To do that,

    • Go to Control Panel and select Power Options.
    • Click on Change advanced power settings.
    • Select the option Restore default settings for this plan.

Method 2: I suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the following article and see if it helps.

Let us know the results. Will be glad to assist you further, if the issue persists.

    Regards,

    Mala S

wake from sleep issue in windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your reply. Apologize for the delay in response.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

    • Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type the command line below:
    Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

    3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.

    Hope the information is helpful.
