Windows will _sometimes_ not sleep - related to pending updates?

I've been trying to diagnose my PC's insomnia troubles

    Code:
    shows "None" for everything

    Code:
shows a single wake timer for backup scan many weeks in the future.

This is the same regardless if my PC goes to sleep or not, so I know this is not the problem.

I've generated energy reports for both when my computer does sleep and the current state it is in now when it will not sleep.

    energy-report-not-sleeping.html.txt
    energy-report-normal-apps.html.txt
    energy-report-fresh-boot.html.txt

Nothing really sticks out to me. In my current "energy-report-not-sleeping.html" I am actually down 1 USB device as my headphones are unplugged, but everything else is the same and plugged in to the back of my computer where I wouldnt be changing ports.

So I came here to post and in the box above it says to check my windows version number: 1809 Build 17763.774

Then I thought, well maybe I'm not on the latest and I go to check windows updates where I have 3 pending install:
    • Defender KB2267602
    • Software Removal Tool KB890830
    • Cumulative Update KB4519338

Now, I don't think any of those updates have fixes to my problem (as my computer slept fine before these appeared) however given I cannot find anything else I am wondering if by chance a "Pending install" could be a reason my computer is not sleeping.

I know without a shadow of a doubt if I update and reboot my PC will sleep again, so I'd prefer to keep it in its current state to try and diagnose what is keeping it up at night or if my current guess is correct

    :)
