Windows 10: Windows will not play music through my subwoofer.

I'm using the onboard soundcard for a msi mpg z490 mother board on a fresh windows 11 install. left and right speakers are working correctly. subwoofer makes sound when I test it using both the realtek audio console and through the sound settings when I configure the speakers. no other audio will play through the subwoofer. I have...made sure that nothing is muted or has the volume turned downmade sure that speakers realtek audio is selected as my output devicedisabled and reenabled the realtek audio device run the windows audio troubleshooter and it cant find an issuerecalibrated using the

After Windows 10 install HP Envy 27 subwoofer does not play

After I installed Windows 10 on my HP Envy 27 the subwoofer does not play. Music does play through the speakers but not the subwoofer.

I did follow instructions in other posts to use Recovery Manager to reinstall the IDT High Defintion Codec driver and did this but it did not fix the problem.

ever since i upgraded to windows 10 my audio has been messed up, my subwoofer only works when i play the test tones but not when i play music or videos. ive tried updating drivers.
