Windows 10: Windows/Windows Store not updating 0x80246008

Recently, I've realized that my Windows computer hasn't been checking for updates and a lot of things aren't working properly. Every time I check for updates, I get the error message of "We're having some trouble downloading updates. Restarting your device may help." with the error code of 0x80246008. This is the same for the Microsoft Store where every time I try and update an app, it gives the error message of "Something happened on our end." with the error code of 0x80246008.I've searched up answers for this issue but none seem to work. Error Code: 0X80246008 on Windows 10

I can not download any updates or use the Windows store since installing Windows 10. I get error code 0X80246008. Any suggestions for fixing this that are not too complicated?

The error 0x80246008 refers to Windows update error. So I suggest you to follow the below steps to fix the update error and then try downloading the game from store.

Method 1: I suggest you to update your system to the latest Windows 10 build and also check if for the pending updates in resolving the issue.

Method 2:
App Troubleshooter

I suggest you to run app troubleshooter through below link for issues related to edge and check if it helps.

Method 3:Try to run the Windows update troubleshooter and see
if it fix the issue:

• 
  Press Windows Key from keyboard, then type ‘troubleshoot’ and select the same from the list.

  Select “View all” on the left panel and run “Windows update” troubleshooter from the list
  
• 
  Click Advanced, ensure to check
  Apply repairs automatically and also select Run as administrator
  
• 
  Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting.
  

Once done, check if it allows you install Windows Updates without any errors.

If that doesn't work, try the following steps. To change or restart the Windows Update service.
