Windows 10: Windows with 2 monitors

I have a monitor attached to my computer. If I create a new window on either my computer screen or the attached monitor, it is created on both screens instead of only on the one where it was created. It seems that both are synchronized? This is particularly annoying when changing between windows, as I want to keep one monitor with the same static window and jump between windows in the other monitor. This is what happens with Mac, which I would say is what yields a good UX.

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.

• What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
  

• How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?
