Windows 10: Windows won't allow me to create local account with my first name

I have a 'Signed in using Microsoft; account on my PC which has created a user folder named 'diond'. I don't know why it added another d when it might have been okay using dionl. However I can't stand it so went to create a new local admin with the name 'Dion' so that I could convert to a preferable user folder name.Windows is now telling me 'please use a different user name' when creating a folder named 'Dion'There are no other users on the PC so I don't know why this would be blocked.Please help me in changing my user name folder to 'Dion'

Creating a MS account without losing Local account

Go to https://account.microsoft.com, click Create account and fill the form:





With a Microsoft account you can then use OneDrive and Office Online apps for free. You can also use built-in native Windows apps which require a Microsoft account like Mail, Skype Preview, People, Calendar and download apps from Windows Store.

Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are

• Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
• No Internet connection during the install
• static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)

 

Switch Back to Existing Local Account from Microsoft Account

I already identified that I had tried this, and that it did not allow me to switch back to the original Local Account. The Microsoft Account hijacked the User Name of the original Local Account. When I click "Sign in With a Local Account instead" and enter
the original User Name, Windows 10 won't proceed. The only way to get back to a Local Account is enter a new User Name.
