    Windows won’t install please help


    I recently bought a new hard drive for my pc cause I wanted to upgrade and I had nothing important on it anyway, but when I got to install windows on dvd (brand new copy) it loads to the windows logo (no loading circle underneath) for 2-3mins then goes to a light blue blank screen and then shuts off, this has never happened to me before and I don’t know what to do please help, I can also provide photos.

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
