    Windows wont recognize microphone


    I was hoping someone could help me. I've recently built a new computer and trying to get my my microphone on my headset to work. I've got a turtle beach recon 50x, windows is up to date and most recent audio driver is installed.

    I've tried to use a splitter to see if It would make any difference but still no luck, I can receive audio through headset but it wont pick up the mic.

    Specs:

    CPU: Ryzen 5 1600af
    Motherboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk max
    RAM: 16gb (8gb x2) G-skill ripjaws 3200 F4-3200C16D-16GVRB
    Storage: samsung 860 evo m.2 sata ssd (boot drive) 2tb seagate green hardrive (Games)
    GPU: Gigabyte RX 570 4G MI
    PSU: Corsair CX550 80+bronze
    Case: NZXT H510

    I would assume I am using the Dell provided Realtek sound Drivers. Im not entirely sure though. Heres what I see in the same spot as your two images. The microphone that is disabled is the inbuilt microphone next to the webcam.

    This is what i see in device manager. Im not sure if the Speakers/Headphones (Realtek High Definition Audio) is the one your saying to disable, as that is what is default in playback devices in the sounds panel.

    Setting Stereo Mix as the default recording device and disabling everything else still didnt get the mic working, even when the headset is plugged into the microphone only audio port or the mic + sound audio port.

    That looks OK.
    This is what I'm seeing in my Recording Panel and Device Manager. You should have something similar.
    Just trying to get this part straight away. Are you using the Dell provided Realtek sound drivers?
