Windows 10: Windows won't remember default recording device.

Hello! I've recently started using RTX voice as it helps with my noisy keyboard. The problem is, that I'm using an USB headset arctis pro+gamedac and every time I restart my computer the default recording and communications device switches itself to the headset, even though i want the sound to be going through RTX voice. Is there any way to permanently change the default device WITH OUT disabling the headsets mic, since i need the sound from it to still go through the app? Also, windows sometimes mutes RTX voice in the properties tab for some reason, what could be causing this? running windows 10, version 1909.

Thank you for posting your reply. I apologize for the delay in response.

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
• Expand the Audio drivers from the list.
• Right click on the driver, click Uninstall.
• Reboot the computer. The drivers will get installed automatically.

If the issue still persists, suggest you to run the System Maintenance troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Type Troubleshooting in the search box and press Enter.
• Click on View All in the top left pane.
• From the list click on System Maintenance and follow the on screen prompts.

Sennheiser GSP 350. Microphone stops working when I open any game

Wow, ok. I think I've fixed it by accident while fiddling around.

It appears to be the Realtek audio being the issue here. I don't use my onboard sound card as my headset is a USB headset only and my speakers are plugged into an ASUS sound card.

Step by step fix:

• I went into recording devices
• I enabled STEREO MIX (Realtek High Definition Audio)
• Then I set that Stereo Mix as the DEFAULT DEVICE (At this point it took over both input and output devices without my permission )
• Then set my Sennheiser headset as default recording and playback devices in their respective windows even though they both still said they were the default devices when they weren't

Headset microphone is currently functioning while in game now. I'll update the thread if it goes again. Should I completely disable Realtek audio??? Or will windows just force it to work again?
