    Windows won't update - error 0x80242016 - frequent fixes don't work


    Hello, My version of Windows 10 1909 build 18363.1556 is very much out of date but ever since that version got installed, windows update hasn't managed to install any new update. When I try to install updates through Windows update, I get the error 0x80242016 after the restart. My version of Windows is not supported by some programs anymore, so I am trying to fix the issue. Fixes I have attempted to include: - Windows update troubleshooter- DISM commands- sfc scan- resetting windows update through cmd net stop/net start, ... - clean boot- temporarily disabling windows defender- clean insta

    I can´t find anything that addresses my actual problem.I have seen that others have also experienced this problem but I have not found a solution that works. My ProBook was originally Win 7 pro, updated to Win 10 pro but HP won´t update because of its age (for me, brand new-just bought it a few days ago) so I don´t really know what to do. Sure, just a minor glitch but a very irritating one (that orange is just way too bright!) that should be a snap to fix (or not-I don´t know, I think my 4 year old granddaughter has better computer skills than I do!) English is not the default language so many of the commands must be translated-just another hassel to deal with. I finally found the systemconfig. box. Selective start and discovered that ALL the service boxes are checked. Good, bad, doesn´t make a difference: I just don´t know.

    Ok...

    After update my Windows 10 to 17063.1000 build, skype won´t work...

    It open, but if I Start my conversasion with camera, file share or screen share, it crash...

    If I try to uninstall anda install again, I give an error...

    Any workaround to solve this issue??
