Windows 10: Windows won't update from 1803 to 1809

Hello.


Yesterday I got my new Huawei Matebook X Pro with Windows 10 Home on it. It has Version 1803 on it right now and I can't find the 1809 update in Windows Update.
So i tried downloading Windows 10 Update Assistant. With it, I can find the 1809 update, I also can download it and it even "installs" it. Everything works fine. After Assistant finished installing, the PC restarts like it should and then it says it's preparing the updates, don't turn off the computer etc..... So everything works as it should. But after this is finnished, and I can log into my accout again, I'm still on 1803, like I never started the Update Assistant.


Any help would be appreciated!

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

 

Win 10 1803 to 1809 update

Good day one and all.

My Desktop computer running Win 10 updated from version 1803 to 1809 a while back, but my laptop/notebook running Win 10 version 1803 (As of a Check for updates today 15 Nov 2018 6:30 AM) still hasn't updated to 1809.

I'm assuming the update 1803 to 1809 has now resumed after the earlier problems caused a suspension?

Updates in general on the laptop are coming through as available, for example, yesterday (14th Nov 2018) the "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1803 for x64 based Systems (KB4467702)" arrived and was installed okay.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

update win10 1803 to 1809 using an install dvd?


Boom !! *Ditto

Download the 1809 Iso file, open it with windows explorer, click setup.

That`s all there is to it, no dvd needed *Smile windows 10 will stay activated, and you won`t lose anything.

What problems are you having with 1803 ? It works great.

It`s a bit soon to be installing 1809 already.
