Windows 10: Windows won't update my credit card info

I can't do an in-game purchase because the Microsoft store/account won't save the CCV on my credit card. This card was used to purchase something through the Microsoft store a couple months ago, so the card is functional. There is nothing wrong with the credit card, I just used it to buy lunch. I found that the CCV was missing in the credit card info. I have tried updating the card with the correct CCV info and it just won't update. it says it does, but when I go into the card info the CCV is not there. I tried deleting the credit card and re-inputting it, but it saves everything but the

How did it save the credit card if it did not save it with the *required info?

1. Please don't assume the credit card is at fault here - I have been using it daily for many other things, and yes it has plenty of room on it for the purchase.

2. The card in question was already used through the Microsoft store at one point, why won't it work now? nothing changed.

3. Why won't the Microsoft site store my credit card info correctly?

If you are unable to remove the credit cards you've listed under Payments & Billing, try updating your payment method by following the steps indicated on this

link. If that didn't work, kindly retry removing your credit cards after 1-3 days.

Why Do I have to give credit card info to switch out of Windows S MODE ? When it says FREE to switch ? But the last step is a credit card form and wont let you skip it.
