Windows 10: Windows wont update then tried to run sfc scan received this log.

Specifically the update 2023-05 wouldn't work the one from 2023-04 did though. when i get to about 98% when restarting it gives up and starts undoing the changes i tried it twice, then i tried deleting the update files that didn't work, then i tried system repair and it said it didn't fix anything so then i tried a sfc scan and got this log. i'm not sure if it has anything helpful in it or what to do to fix iti deleted a lot of the lines stating beginning and ending verification for viewing convivence but i kept a few incase its important 2023-05-14 16:51:38, Info CBS TI: -

Really your are advising or suggesting that I reinstall windows 10?

I believe I have some corrupted files on my P5 (my Build 22h2 19045.2251 2/19/2021)I have updated net frame work 3.5 on 3/15 after many tries.

I believe I have some corrupted files that are connected or related to windows update because the SFC scan which is specifically for windows update will not run. As I explained in my question:

One of my update KB5023696 has failed many times. I have been working on this issue. I ran power shell admin and received this message sfc /scannow

"There is a system repair pending which requires a reboot to complete. Restart and run sfc again." I restarted it twice and received the same message. How can I repair the files that are corrupted since SFC scan now will not run?

What does System Repair pending mean? It seems to be with this KB5023696.

It doesn't look so bad that I need to reinstall windows again. Why didn't it say reinstall windows or do a system restore. I made the changes you suggested in services.

The issue occurs due to an
unfinished update process which
corrupted the system files. We suggest that you try these troubleshooting
methods and run the update again:

Method 1:
Run SFC Scan.

To run an
SFC scan, follow these steps:

• 
  Run
  Command Prompt as Administrator.
  
• 
  Type
  sfc /scannow
  and hit
  Enter.
  

This will check and run an auto-repair on the issue.

Method 2:
Run DISM Tool.

After running the
SFC scan
and the issue still persist, run the
DISM
to check the system health and to try restoring the files. To run
DISM tool, follow these steps:

• 
  Run
  Command Prompt as Administrator.
  
• 
  Type the following command:
  
  • 
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /scanhealth
    
  • 
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
    

NOTE:
This might take a while
to finish scanning.
Do not cancel.

SFC wont run from boot command prompt, says ....

What's confusing? Your goal is confusing and your test environment is confusing.
Let's forget about the malware and SFC for the moment and regroup.

Q1: Tell me if your goal is to install 9926.

Q2: Tell me how you have Win10 setup - in a Virtual machine, as a secondary OS in dual boot, or as the primary and only OS.

Members have already suggested a Clean install - you don't need to update through Win10.
easy steps

1. Download the latest Win10 Preview build ISO on a uninfected machine.
2. Burn the ISO to a disc
3. clean out the current Win10 install
4. install a new Win10 from the disc

Once your goal and test environment are clearly articulated, I or another member can help walk you through the full process. Don't overthink it though as you did with the Malware guide (it sounded to me as though you decided which scanners to run and did not run all of them). If you skip a step in the Clean Install, you'll just be wasting your time and wasting my time.

Answer the first two questions and post the Disk Management screen shot. Start there and focus on the goal.
