Windows 10: Windows won't update Windows 10

Every day Windows will download and install updates when I restart or shut down my laptop. But when it turns back on it says "Could not install update - Uninstalling changes" and then says the update was not able to be installed. It has turned into a daily thing so I have to go through this every time I want to turn on my laptop.


These are the updates it attempts to install:

2020-10 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64 KB4578974

2020-10 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems KB4580325

2020-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems KB4577671


I am running Windows 10 Home ver. 1909 build 18363.720 any help would be appreciated.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows updates won't install!

I had the same problem when i repaired my O/S, i forgot the steps on how to fixed it, but it is in the microsoft support forum.

You have to reinstall the windows updater, then restart the updating service.

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.
