Windows 10: Windows Words Files becoming invisible.

I have Windows 10, version 1909. Problem:


I save the screen picture of a web site to a Document Folder as a Word File.

The name I chose for the File then appears in the list of Files in that Folder.

I open the File and a picture of the web site screen appears exactly as it did when I was connected to the web site.

I close the File. The name of the File still appears in the list of Files in that Folder.

I go to Mail and write an email.

I want to attach the File with the web site picture to the email.

I click >Insert>file.

A window appears and I navigate it to the Folder that contains the File I want to attach to the email.

But the name of the File I want to attach is missing from the Folder. All its other Files are listed.

I go back to the Document Folder that should have the File I want to attach to the email.

The File I want to attach is still listed in the Folder, as it should be.

I try to accomplish my goal of attaching the File to the email by trying a dozen times, with many variations such as first copying the File from its original Folder location to some other location and trying to attach it to the email draft from different locations.

It never works. The File is invisibleto the email File Attach function.

In Properties for the File, all seems normal.

I have no trouble attaching Files that were not saved from a web site screen to an email.


Can you help? Why is this happening or not happening? I would appreciate any assistance you can offer.

microsoft word 2003

I have a lot of ms word files on my pc. But one of them showed me an error - Getting unknown error messages while opening (.doc) or (.docx) files. I don't know how to open my word file or repair microsoft word. Any suggestions, guys, please.

I understand that you want to disable word suggestions when you type any word. I’ll certainly help you with the steps.



To disable text suggestions, I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows Logo key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Devices, and click on
   Typing on the left pane.
   
3. Now, under Typing toggle the switch to off for
   Show text suggestions as I type on the software keyboard.
   
4. Under Hardware keyboard, toggle the switch to on for
   Show text suggestions as I type.

Unable to edit Word documents in Windos 10

Hi,

Thank you for the update.

Word, Excel and PowerPoint are Office applications. There are different Office versions. You may follow the steps below to check which version of Office you are using.

• 
  Go to File Then select Account.
  
• 
  Click on About Word (Which have symbol of question mark).
  

I also suggest you to check multiple versions of Microsoft Office is installed or not in your system. You may follow the steps below:

• 
  Go to Control panel.
  
• 
  Click on programs and features.
