Windows 10: Windows XP Home Edition - repair blue screen 'Unmountable_Boot_Volume'

I have an old Toshiba Satellite A30 laptop running Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.I recently tried to start the machine but was unable to boot - I got a blue screen with the message 'Unmountable _Boot_Volume'.I have the original Product Recovery CD_ROMs that came with the laptop. I thought that one of these would be able to assist but I am not sure what to do. I inserted Disk 1 and the system booted up but, rather than showing Windows XP the initial screen of 'Power Quest Easy Restore' was displayed. windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME" blue screen error

Whenever I start up my Toshiba Satellite C55-B5299 it would run smooth and then a blue screen would pop up and there is a message that says "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME" and restarts. And it would run again smoothly and then the screen goes black and I can't
move my cursor and my dad says that i downloaded a virus and i didn't and my antivirus would have told me that my pc has a virus. Can anyone help me with this issue?
