I just downloaded and installed the update and restarted my pc.. same problem.. i also see that there are various different download links on the website... and if i go into programs i have two different uxstyles installed.. the old one gives me an error message if i try to uninstall it..

  5. You were supposed to remove the old one before installing the newer one. I would try to remove the new one first and then the old one. Just go to the default windows theme and then try to remove the uxstyles.

I tried it already.. it gives me this error message that says your theme subsystem (e.g uxtheme.dll, themeui.dkk) has been tampered with. UxStyle requires these files be restored before you can continue. Check the forums if you need help.

Check in System32 whether your original themeui.dll, uxinit.dll and uxtheme.dll are in order.
If they've been replaced by injection and renamed to .old or .bak, you may have to get rid of the replacements and restore the originals.
Make SURE you're messin with the right ones! Or you may land in a bigger mess!

Press and hold the Windows Key on your Keyboard and press R. Then in the Run box type C:\Windows\system32

Then press enter. A explorer window will then open up then just browse for the files and make sure they arn't renamed as anything that modifies them will usually create a backup of the original and call it themeui.old or .bak. Or something simular.

Theres prob a faster way to do it but thats how I'd do it.

Im still very interested in this theme... i remember i had it on windows 7 and to be honest I dont want any other theme than this... so if anyone can get it to work please let me know what you did.. surely it must be possible otherwise there would be no point for them to advertise with it?

IF you want to keep trying just be sure if your version of Win10 is either 32-bit or 64-bit that you get the same for WinXP. 'Back then' only WinXP Pro was available also as 64-bit but it was not as prominent as Win7, not many programs were made for it. I may still have a copy somewhere but at the time never had the hardware for it.
