Windows 10: Windows XP theme

Much as I love a challenge, I don't wanna nuke the only OS I have left!
Ran many a themes from Cleodesktop and others on earlier Builds, but messin with authui.dll, UXinit.dll and such is too risky.
The system files you need to modify now have some of the highest permissions in the system; one mistake and you're Nuked!!!

I would get a hold of Cleodesktop and have a chat with him to make sure it would work.
I believe he has a tutorial and documentation on how to make it work on CU.

 

CS can provide what you are looking for, as @Edwin posted , using third party Themes is not the way to go. CS can provide the XP Start Menu and The Explorer Shell. If that is not what you want then I am at a loss..

 

How do i get on touch with that person?

I remember using my xp theme on windows 7 and i absolutely loved it, that was the only time where i was really enjoying using my computer.

Classic shell only changes the start menu, but not the rest of the computer. I posted a screengrab of the xp theme so it should be clarified by now.

@Edwin my computer is backed up by aomei, so its not a disaster if something goes wrong, as i can simply just recover it again in 20 minutes with a few clicks.

I googled him and found his website, so i sent him a message from there instead.

 

Well he didn't respond, so i will try to get in touch with him again.

I hope that someone will make a working luna xp theme some day, i wouldn't mind making a donation to whoever does it.

Edit: it works!

The taskbar has a beautiful XP luna theme now. Great. That's progress.

The rest of windows still has a dreadful looking windows 10 theme though..

 

Post a screenshot as an example. Maybe someone will have ideas.

I think you need to mess about with folder view settings. Actually I don't use the standard file explorer but anyway you shoul be able to change views.












Or you can add custom folders or shell locations.

Sorry, but I don't really see how thats related to a windows xp luna theme.

 

Still looking to get the rest of windows to look like XP.
