    Hi everyone,


    Many moons ago,, I purchased Windows XP for a custom-built PC and took advantage of the free upgrade to 10. That PC is on its last legs, so is it possible to transfer the license to custom-built computer?


    I'm sorry if it's already answered somewhere. I did a search, but most articles seemed to be about upgrading from newer-than-XP versions. I know it's a long shot, but seems like a waste if I didn't try. Thanks for the help!

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    New Compute, Windows 10 (upgrade) Activation Transfer

    It depends on how Windows 10 was originally configured on your computer.

    If its a full retail store bought license online or offline, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

    If its the free upgrade from a retail store bought Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

    If its the free upgrade from a OEM preinstalled Windows 7 or Windows 8 license, it is NOT transferable to a new computer or motherboard.

    Microsoft Windows XP Downgrade Program Extended by Another Six Months

    Alot of company still happy with their old computers with XP on it. They saw no reasons to upgrade to Vista. Upgrading their system to Vista mean new hardwares or even branch new computers for a whole company, but what will Vista gives them? XP already have everything they need.

    Vista is just a stepping stone for Windows 7, just like Windows Me was a stepping stone for Windows XP.

    I'm not dislike Vista, I would stick with XP, but I want to learn new things about new OS. It's time to move on, and adopt new things.
