Windows 10: Windows10 1809 windows.old size issue

I have update all my pcs with the first wave of 1809 update. No errors or issues.

Just a question, i notice the size of windows.old folder was only 6GB in all pc i done the update.

Windows cleaning disk tool detects much more space to delete about old windows installations, around 25-30GB.


So how is managed file cleaning ? File Explorer is wrong about that folder ? Where are all the more than 20GB files outside that folder that were deleted?


p.s. before 1809 this never happen, i remember my inplace upgrade to 1803, windows.old was 30GB and so the cleaning tool free the same space.

Windows 7 + GPU-Z size issue

It should be noted that w1zzard is aware of this issue, what we want is more people with the same problem to come forward and report any information they can.

Problem: GPU-Z is too big.





Thats my GPU-Z on the right, sitting on top of a browser window (the GPU-Z page) showing the size difference.


How to reproduce it:

1. Must be running windows 7
2. Must be on a high resolution display (1080p and above?)
3. windows must DEFAULT you to the following setting of 125%





The exact problem is that when you are defaulted to 125%, everything is made larger.
When you drop to 100%, GPU-Z doesnt drop with it.


This same problem used to occur on CPU-Z as well, screenshot for proof





We just anyone else with this issue to step forward, w1zzards not going to bother fixing it if its just me.


notes:

• if you default to 100%, you can change up and down problem free

Follow the steps to go to Control Panel:

Windows 10’s October 2018 Update (version 1809) Update Stuck at 42%

Windows 10 1809 is just a day old. My suggestion is to hold on till the first cumulative updates arrive.
