Windows 10: Windows10 1903 - Internet works but on settings and tray icon says "internet not connected"

I made the following steps on my PC HP Windows 10:

1) I Reinstalled Windows 10 ( I had to do it because my PC was extremely slow);

2) After reinstalling Windows and connecting to internet via wifi (or ethernet similarly) I realized that Microsoft Edge and the Windows Store didn't work (saying no internet connection), but Internet Explorer and Chrome, Skype and other application successfully were using internet to browse and etc.

3) To fix the Edge problem, I made a network recovery (disable and re-enable network card) through the settings functionality and rebooted;

4) After rebooting the Microsoft Edge and Windows store issues were fixed : everything was working fine with intenet BUT a new issue came up : now, EVEN IF INTERNET WORKS FINE ON MY PC, WINDOWS in Settings/Network says "Internet NOT connected" and even the tray icon on the windows bar remains as a "globe" indicating no internet connection.

If I try to connect to my wifi connection, it connects and works but says "Internet not available" (and still the "globe" remains in the tray area and NOT CONNECTED in Settings/Network (actually internet keep on working fine on the PC). If I use an Ethernet Cable it connects and works, but still the "globe" remains in the tray area and NOT CONNECTED in Settings/Network (actually internet keep on working fine on the PC).


My questions is: how can I fix this issue ? Any idea? I realized it's a common problem on Windows 10 and some of you maybe found a solution.

Network Settings says No Internet Connection, But...


But I'm currently browsing the internet and typing to you.

In fact - I can do virtually everything (League; Steam; Skype; etc) except use any OS feature that requires logging in - e.g. Mail, User Accounts, Shop, etc. Then it says something along the lines of "Cannot use this service without an internet connection - please connect and try again." When I run Network Diagnostics as the prompt recommends - it says I am connected and cannot find a problem.





It doesn't always happen - but it seems to be determined on start-up. If I restart it now it might be working next launch - but 75% of the time it will encounter the same issue. It's been happening for months now but I've sort of gotten used to using my phone to check my emails - but I've now encountered an issue with one of my hard drives being unable to be searched (tried indexing, etc) and the only step I've found that I haven't tried says it could be a corrupted user account - but I cannot update my user account without "connecting to the internet". -_-

The system is up to date. No driver updates available.

 

Connected to internet but system tray says no connection

My setup:

Windows10

Asus RT-N660U

Direct LAN connection

Comcast ISP and DNS

I am online and posting this from the impacted system, so I am clearly online with a connection. For some reason, Windows system tray says I have no internet connection (yellow triangle icon) and Windows store and other apps (Xbox live) aren't able to connect/authenticate.
Windows Store shows my profile in the top right corner but encounters an error at sign-in (0x800704cf).

When I noticed the yellow icon in the tray I tried the following:

- ran the recommended network troubleshooting steps

- power cycled modem and router

- flushed DNS cache

- updated drivers

- disabled/re-enabled the LAN adapter

- disabled the wireless adapter (this PC doesn't have a wireless card)

- ran wsreset.exe

- configured router to Google DNS

- ran a factory reset on the router

- disabled Windows Defender firewall (using other security)

What else can I do to resolve this? I don't remember changing anything specific and everything appears to be on current versions.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Persistant internet problems – internet icons, dwindling speed, connection.

Since I got proper wired ADSL I am having several problems when connecting, surfing and downloading from the internet. What the causes might be I don’t know but I’ve listed them below:

1) When I click my Firefox icons, be that on the desktop or on Rocketdock, it can take up to 30 seconds or so to physically open a page. I’m talking just a page itself, not content.

2) If I have just turned the computer on then the page loads pretty quick, that’s a webpage not a physical page. However, the longer I’m on the internet the slower the page load times seem to get.

3) This also manifests itself in downloads. When the computer is first turned on downloads are working fine, however, as time goes on, most downloads dwindle to nothing or all are not downloading.

4) When I click the Internet Explorer icon(desktop or Rocketdock), it opens on my homepage but if I enter an address the address opens in a new Firefox webpage while the IE page stays on my homepage!

Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated.
