Windows 10: Windows10 Home 2004 update It froze after 97% installed

I have two computers, a seven year old Toshiba Laptop and a 1yr old HP570 Desktop. Both computers are in excellent condition and up to date. The laptop successfully updated to Windows 10 Home 2004.

But the newer HP570 did not, It froze after 97% installed. Both computers are 64 bit. The operating systems are identical. My question is, why did the laptop update and the desktop failed? I didn't know the answer. All my research showed was a lot of people had the same problem with no fix. I called Microsoft support, and they solved the Update problem. It took about three hours. He checked the desktop for problems, found none, then deleted numerous left over windows install files, deleted them and went to Microsoft download site and downloaded the Windows Home 2004 Update. Unbenown to me while the desktop is downloading Windows Home 2004 Update, Auto update is downloading Windows Home 2004 Update and gets stuck again at 97%. When the Windows Home 2004 Update download completed from Microsoft's us website, I tried to install it. But a message appeared stating that Windows could not install the update because Auto Update was installing an update. It was the 3rd time Windows Home 2004 downloaded and got stuck at 97% I called Microsofr support again for help. The Windows Home 2004 Update from Microsoft.us did install and the pc runs fine. The question is, what happens to the three unused download and installation files? What do I do?

PC goes into black screen and froze

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's not a software related issue which is why I was suggesting that you remove the video card to start with since it's such an easy process of elimination step.

I'm not familiar with AMD CPUs, I did see that you had listed in your system specs but I had no idea whether or not it has an iGPU

Is there any possibility of you being able to get your hands on any compatible video card at all?it would be the easiest step to try to troubleshoot or at least one of the easier ones. You should be able to get into the bios without anything but A display cable hooked up to the motherboard

 

Frontpage 97 not installing

Thank you for keeping us posted. I would like to assist you with further information from here.

Please be informed FrontPage 97 is not completely compatible with the current versions of Windows line up.

As a work around I would suggest you to install the application in compatibility mode. Follow the below steps.

• 
  Locate the executable file of the application.
  
• 
  Right-click on the setup file and click on "Properties".
  
• 
  Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select previous Operating System from the drop down.
  
• 
  Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.
  

Additionally, also post the same query in the software supplier's website for more information regarding the issue.

Insurgency wont install and run for me....

I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

Any ideas?
