Windows 10: Windows10 needs to boot twice every time to properly load the USB drivers.

This started following the upgrade from Windows 7 64 Pro to Windows 10 64 Pro. I have updatedevery USB driver and I have reinstalled every controller. It is very consistent; Cold boot -->problem, followed by restart --> fixed.


I will try two consecutive cold boots. If they are both followed by a problem i.e., the problem rests with the cold boot I will come right back and update this question.

I understand your point, however it may fix the issue, if it could be due to USB drivers.

• What is the make and model of the computer?
• Did you make any changes prior to this issue?

I suggest you to try the steps provided in the previous post and get back to us with the results.

Why do I need to boot my PC twice every time after powering up to make USB ports work properly?

Set Boot up first to the drive with hiren bootcd 10.4
Done...

the options will pop out after loading the disc choose

boot cd

then the list (step by step)

Next...
Dos....
USB Drivers....
Load USB Drivers with no386.....

Ask you load cd drivers. NO
Ask you load SCSI drivers. NO
Ask you anything NO.
USB driver list comes out. 8 Don't choose anything else.

type
C:\ (that should be your mp3 player if you did it right)

atiflash -i
to list the adapters

atiflash -p -f 0 ???.bin

done.........
