Windows 10: Windows10 password field autofills with +++++++++ characters

Hello. Since this morning impossible to login to my Windows10 desktop machine. The password field on the login screen auto-fills immediately with black dots for one account and with +++ characters for the second. Using another keyboard / mouse gives the same results.Surprisingly I can login from another computer with remote desktop. I created a new user account during remote desktop connection.New user login has same problem as other two users. No idea how to resolve this problem. Any help appreciated.

Windows 10 login field autofills with asterisk characters

As the subject subject description states, Windows 10 login field autofills with asterisk characters (for all users of the computer) after booting up the Acer desktop computer. I can watch the field fill with somewhere around twenty characters, which then
has to be removed by backspacing to remove them. Then I can put in my password and logon.

This is new in the last day, after I dealt with a malware/redirecting browser issue by installing and cleaning with Malwarebytes. Google suggestions from years ago deal with hardware/keyboard issues and sometimes firmware issues in Windows 7, but there seems
to be no recent discussion on this topic regarding Windows 10. I'm wondering if anyone has ideas regarding the cause of this issue.

Autofill Fields

To better assist you with your concern, I'd like to confirm what browser are you using (Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, etc.).

Meanwhile, I'd recommend checking the steps below to help you enable AutoFill/AutoComplete:

For Internet Explorer:

1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Internet Explorer and then choose it from the results.
   
2. Select Tools > Internet options.
   
3. In the Content tab, select Settings under the AutoComplete section.
   
4. Select the check boxes for the options you want AutoComplete to use, then choose
   OK.

For Microsoft Edge:

1. Select the More actions button.
2. Select Settings > View advanced setting.
3. Turn on Save form entries.

For Google Chrome:

1. At the top right, click More
   
   
   
   Settings
2. Scroll-down and click on Advanced button.
3. Under Passwords and forms, click on Autofill settings.
4. Turn on Autofill forms.

For Mozilla Firefox:

1. Click on the Firefox menu icon (Three lines at top right of screen).
2. Select Options, then go to Privacy & Security.
3. Under Forms & Passwords, check the box for Ask to save logins and passwords for websites.
4. Under History, click the down-arrow next to Firefox will and choose
   Use custom settings for history.
5. Check the box for Remember search and form history.

Edge Autofill woes

Greetings folks,

Over the years I've always manually typed in my email address in sign in forms and of late it's become a bit cumbersome. I've always avoided using the Edge auto fill in method as I was under the false impression that to use this method I would also have to enter my password for autofill, which I don't want to do, I prefer keeping passwords in my head.

After learning that I can have Edge just autofill my email address without the password, I've been using it to great effect. The problem is, Edge seems to be automatically remembering 2FA text and app generated authentication codes and suggesting them in a drop down list whenever they have to be input. While I'm aware these codes are time-sensitive and pose no security risk it looks a bit messy having a whole list of them pop up whenever a 2FA field presents itself. I'm aware there is a delete entry button next to each entry but clearing them all each time would be more annoying than having to manually enter my email address.

Is there anyway to turn these automatically saved autofill entries off? All I want is my email address saved.
