  1. Windows10 Sound, i think I broke W10

Situation, I use to connect my logitech 5.1 surround speakers via the 3 stereo ports on the back of my PC Green FL & FR - Orange Center & Woofer - Black Rear Surround SL & SR. W10 recognised these correctly and they worked fine. But then I got a Smart TV as a monitor with it's own Audio output. I connect this TV via a optical cable & Decoder HD audio RUSH to the same Speakers, via split cables .. so both PC and TV are connected to the speakers.I finally got the Decoder working properly but now W10 / PC is throwing tantrums. W10 sometimes only recognises 1 Jack green -

    :)

    Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue Windows10 Sound, i think I broke W10 :p

  3. windows10 startup sound not working

    Hi,

For us to provide you with the a proper solution, are you only referring to the startup sound? If not, have you tried playing audio from different programs?

In the meantime, we suggest that you run the Hardware and Sound troubleshooter in Control Panel to check for any errors.

    Here are the steps:

    • Click on Search/Cortana, and type Troubleshooting.
    • In the results, click on Troubleshooting (Control Panel).
    • In the Troubleshooting window, click on Hardware and Sound.
    • Under Sound, click on Playing audio.

Note: We also suggest that you run Hardware and Devices under Devices.

Your reply is most important for us to assist you accordingly.

Yeah OOPS I think I broke something.: I have had an accident. Finally think I had fixed my issue with the people app on one of my devices and now I think I broke it. Specifically on my desktop machine I can open the app but it doesn't get past the opening screen and then crashes. 83248
