  1. Windows11 and Access 365 - OLE objects not visible - two workarounds

I am currently using Windows11 OS upgraded from Windows10 and Access 365. When upgraded to Windows11 OLE objects in the database were no longer visible excepting those which had been in the old MS Photo Editor'97 format. I tried using some of the techniques supplied in Microsoft forums concerning this issue and could not get them to work for bitmaps. However I stumbled upon two separate workarounds: one using old Microsoft software Office97 - Microsoft Photo Editor and one using a small third-party application called azzCardfile. The designer of azzCardfile developed the program to replac

how do i get rid of OLE Initialzation failed make sure that OLE libraries are the current version

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft community forums.

Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) is a proprietary technology developed by Microsoft that allows embedding and linking to documents and other objects. Before an application can use OLE system services, it must initialize the OLE system DLLs and verify
that the DLLs are the correct version. Make sure that the service Windows Modules Installer is running. To check if the service is running, please follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Open Run dialog (press Windows key + R).
    2. Then type: Services.msc and click on
      Okay
      .
    3. Then look for the service named Windows Modules Installer.

For more information, you can refer to: OLE Initialization. If you need
any further assistance, please write back with the following information:

    1. When do you get the above error?
    2. Is the issue specific to any application?
    3. Which version of Windows 10 is installed on your device?
    4. Are you aware of any recent changes that were made on your computer?

    Regards,

  3. failed to enumerate objects in container, access is denied

I've gone through the steps that are supposed to allow me to delete a folder but when I get to this step:

Windows11 and Access 365 - OLE objects not visible - two workarounds [IMG]

The box at the top does not appear on my screen just the one at the bottom. Clicking the bottom box and continuing does not give me the permission I need to delete the folder. What else can I try? Thanks.

  4. Windows11 and Access 365 - OLE objects not visible - two workarounds

    Cortana & Office 365 Integration

We are trying to integrate Cortana with our Office 365 subscription, but it never works. Here are the steps we have done:

    • Turned on Cortona in the Office 365 Admin portal
    • We are using Windows 10 1703 – connected Office 365 service to Cortana
Did the same on windows 10 mobile with no luck, Cortana says its connected to Office 365, but sees no data and we are getting zero errors

We went rough office 365 support first and tried all fo their suggestions, they kicked us over to Windows support which is currently closed.

We are on v1703 with all updates in place, it does not work on Windows 10 desktop or mobile

any ideas? I can give you all steps 365 support had us run through if that will be helpful

    Thank you

    Doug
