Windows 10: Windows11 New Folder is creating a shortcut instead

Hi,I have Windows11 Home Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000 .When I try to create a new folder on a path that I have full permissions for , it is trying to create a shortcut instead :How can I fix this ? Many thanks in advance

My new folder menu is creating a new shortcut, not a folder in windows 10

when I use the new folder menu option via the right click, it starts the dialog for a new shortcut instead. I have searched for a solution and cannot find one. I cannot create new folders now and have to resort to copying an existing blank folder and renaming
it or doing it via a cmd window. The new folder option is on the right click, but it just creates a new shortcut, not a folder

I think this may be a problem with the registry key for the new folder option being set to new shortcut.

It's working for me. But my new folder option is not working anywhere not in desktop as well as not in file explorer. Whenever I am placing my cursor on new folder option, its first spinning for few seconds then goes to close the file
explorer and refresh the desktop once.
