Windows 10: Windows11 some games cannot save

I found this issue when I played Titanfall 2. I cannot save my progress in the game, and I thought maybe the game is broken. But today I just found out that GTA4 cannot save either. Similar thing happened to Fallout 4, except that it’s the setting not being saved.But this only happens to some games. I also have some games that don’t have this kind of issue.I’m guessing something is wrong so that games cannot access certain locations probably in c drive in my pc.

Do you use antivirus or other third-party security software?

Some third-party antiviruses are known to prevent games from modifying configuration files, saves, etc.

Try adding the game's main executable (.exe) to the antivirus exceptions list and see if the game can save properly.

I'm using McAfee LiveSafe, but I do not think it's relevant. I had thought of this possibility and uninstalled it, the issue still exists. Of course I installed it back immediately afterwards.

I understand that the game doesn’t save the progress made on your account, I suggest to follow the steps given below.

• Please navigate to:
  C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Packages.
  
• Under Packages folder, locate the file
  Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame
  and move it to some other location.
  
• Relaunch your game and see if you can save the game progress.
  
  If you still face the same issue, I suggest to post your query on
  Forza Forums.
