  1. Windows11 Taskbar “hide" and "unhide" does not work properly

Hi, there. I'd like to report a problem I'm having on all my laptops and desktops running windows 11.When I am using Microsoft Edge Chromium, 4K video Downloader, and a number of other apps with the windows maximized, the taskbar does not hide or unhide properly. For example, on Microsoft Edge with its window maximized, once the taskbar is hide, there is no way to unhide it, moving the cursor to the bottom has no effect, and the only solution is to press win key. And when I'm using 4k video downloader, the problem turns to the opposite, I can only hide the taskbar by pressing the win key. This

    :)

    Auto hide taskbar not unhiding

This was working fine and for some unknown reason it stopped. I have the taskbar on auto hide and when I move my mouse to unhide, it will not show the taskbar. I did not change any settings or download anything new so do not know what happened. I tried taking
auto hide off and it appears fine, then turned auto hide back on and still the taskbar will not unhide. Any suggestions how to get my taskbar to unhide without having to turn it on/off?

I also can not close one window, it makes me close all windows. The little + sign is gone to open a new window I have to go to the right side, open the drop down menu and click New Window. None of this was like this yesterday, the taskbar worked perfectly
so I am very confused. Please help me get my taskbar back to working normal again.

  3. Taskbar not properly unhiding

    Hello,

The auto - hide functionality of the taskbar used to work fine until recently, out of the blue taskbar won't unhide when the mouse pointer is at the bottom of the screen. It appears as if the taskbar pops up behind the current window. Done all the solutions that have been mentioned in the previous posts ie. Clearing the prefetch folder, sfc /scannow, restarting explorer.exe etc - nothing seems to work. Help

  4. Windows11 Taskbar “hide" and "unhide" does not work properly

how to effectively hide or disable the taskbar?

    Hi,

Did you try the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option from Taskbar properties?

If you have not tried it, I would suggest you to follow these steps and auto-hide the taskbar:

    • Right click on Taskbar.
    • Click on Properties
    • Check the box Auto-hide the taskbar.
    • Click on OK.

    Hope this information helps.
