Windows 10: Windows11 WIFI icon does not show connected

I got a new laptop with Windows 11. When I connect to WIFI it says I am connected but the taskbar icon says I am not. I can go online but when in Power Point and I try to download an image from online it says I am offline. That is very frustrating when I need to get a Power Point done. Once in a while the taskbar icon will show connected and then I can download images from online. Why doesn't the taskbar icon always show connected when I am connected? Why can I get online but not download images?

Thank you for reaching out to us. We suggest you to try to disable auto turn-off of WiFi device by following the steps below:

• Go to Network and Sharing Center.
• At the right pane, click Change adapter settings.
• Right click on your connection name (WiFi name) and Properties.
• Click the Configure... button.
• Go to Power Management tab.
• Uncheck/disable the radio button for "Allow this device to turn off this device to save power".
• 
  Restart the PC (Important)

WiFi icon on the toolbar not showing the list of available networks

when I right click on my WiFi icon on the tool bar it used to show me a list of available networks to connect but now its showing me blank list.

Please Help

 

Win 10 wifi connected but wrong notification icon displayed

I'm connected to the internet using wifi. The system tray shows a rectangle icon instead of the wifi icon. when I hover on the icon it shows the name of the wifi connection and I have internet access. I've tried troubleshooting the network but I'm told
everything is working properly.

Any suggestions appreciated.
