  1. WindowsApps file path does not exist.

I cant remember where this started as I began using steam instead of the microsoft store for games, but recently since gamepass is continually releasing new games on PC, i decided to give it another shot.

Whenever I download a game it goes smoothly. right to C: drive. But upon launching the game, I get an error notification saying the file path does not exist. I have tried taking ownership of the WindowsApps folder to attempt to find the files, and I did. They're sitting right there, intact and ready to use. But as soon as I try to launch the game from inside the folder, it says to double check whether I searched it right and that windows cant find it.

So not only can I not launch the app from the desktop, but I cant even launch it from the file location. The only thing I can think of is that I need an external harddrive to connect to my PC in order to direct the downloads to a different folder.

I have attempted to direct them to a different folder on my main harddrive but it doesnt let me select anything other than C: drive.

    Please help!

    :)

  4. WindowsApps file path does not exist.

    Add a path to $PATH?

Yeah, I think you're right. I think the purpose of the echo command was to check if ~/bin was in the $PATH file. My problem is that I can't decipher the output and I don't know how to add ~/bin to the $PATH file.

Just for clarification, the snippet of instructions I gave is just a few steps in the installation process. Nothing is actually supposed to be installed with those steps.

    Thanks for the reply.
