    WindowsTerminal.exe and OpenConsole.exe execute every 10 minutes and I have no idea why


    Hello,The past few days I was experiencing a cmd window pop-up every 10 minutes that immediately vanishes. It takes focus off of whatever I am doing and it's incredibly annoying. I haven't installed anything recently that would have caused this issue. I couldn't find anything in Task Scheduler that would cause these programs to fire every 10 minutes.     How to open a .exe file

    Hi,

    An EXE file (also known as executable file) contains an executable program for Windows. EXE is short for "executable," and it is the standard file extension used by Windows programs.

    For us to better assist you with this, we'd like to know the following:

    • Were you getting an error when opening a .exe file?
    • Was it compressed (zipped)?

    Usually, you can just double left-click the .exe file (if not compressed) to open it. However, if it's compressed, you need to install a 3rd party software to extract it.

    Registering the VB6.0 executable(.exe) using Regsvr32

    Registering the my application executable(.exe) using command <FilePath> /RegServer but its failing to register in windows 10 but able to register .exe file with Regsvr32 .

    is this correct way to do ?

    is there any impact to register .exe using Regsvr32 ?
