    Hello Guys Windwos Upgrade & License :)


    I have Windows 10 Home From Laptop I bought, I want upgrade to Windows 10 Pro...
    My question is if I upgrade Windows 10 Pro, did my Windows 10 Home from my Laptop will replace it permanently to Windows 10 Pro ?, or it will be back to Windows 10 Home when I do Clean installation PC ?
    Because next month I want to change my Old Laptop with new one, is Windows 10 Home Version and I want to use Windows 10 Pro License I buy before and Apply it to a new Laptop I buy, or I need buy Windows 10 Pro again because already use it for my old laptop ?

    There are two types of Windows licenses...
    • Retail
    • OEM
    Retail licenses of Windows can be legally transferred between hardware because it's a retail license. Upgrade licenses if it was an upgrade from a retail license maintains the same license freedoms that the original license held, Windows 10 upgrade licenses are the only exception to that rule. OEM licenses however cannot be transferred from hardware to hardware. Upgrades from OEM licenses of course have the same restrictions that the original OEM license had.

    However, right now Microsoft is still accepting old licenses of Windows as an upgrade to Windows 10. All you have to do is type in your old key and it will accept it. Why Microsoft is still allowing this I have no idea but my thoughts are is that Windows 10 adoption numbers are so damn low that they need all the help they can get. *Laugh :laugh:

    Memtest: no errors after 10 hrs.
    I'm going to perform the Primetest, later on. Get back to you on that.
    I'm going to take it step by step, guys. I need to find the problem with this current computer. I might have to upgrade some components, so that it is still runnable. As for the new one, yes....i will build on it later. I need to find something decent 'gaming experience', all suggestions appreciated. THanks.
