Windows 10: Wing32 trouble

    Wing32 trouble


    Civil War 2 requires Wing32 to play, whatever, it's not my system, like I'm on it to other games! Or my self in the properly operating system, I'm not the operationing!

    WinG32.dll

    I have Wizardry Gold on CD. The installer is 16-bit, so no help there (because MS doesn't want to bring back the NTVDM for 64-bit hardware). But by copying the contents of the cd to its own folder on my C game folder and editing an ini file or two, I can
    run the game (but I still need the cd in the drive to play). This worked on WinXp and Win8, but Win10 doesn't recognize WinG32.dll (even in System32) or WinGde.dll (even in SysWOW64). Regsvr32 won't recognize either file.

    Wasn't the WinG library a predecessor of DirectX? If so, why not have DirectX handle the WinG32 calls?

    I have a very old Monopoly video game that I can't play because I get an error, WING32.dll is missing. Help!
