    Hi. I bought a new gaming laptop and the Miracast was not working. On my old Win 10 gaming laptop Miracast worked perfectly. Googling the issue it brought me here where "contributors" had no idea what they were talking about and copy pasting solutions from other websites. Well the problem is not bluetooth or wifi or firewall or other stuff mentioned in those clickbait-as-a-software tm like Drivereasy... it is just the display drivers from the Intel Graphics card.The retail version installed in the laptop that you can verify yourself in Device Manager is 31.0.101.3616. Just went straight to

    Which method are you trying to use to connect exactly? What troubleshooting steps have you tried to get it working? Do you get an error?

    I need results of the troubleshooting steps I give in order to know what to suggest next.

    You may need to use a Miracast adapter to be able to use the Miracast feature in Windows 10. To assist you better, we'd like to gather more information:

    • Are you getting any error messages when you tried to cast videos from your computer to your TV?
    • Are you able to cast videos before?
    • Have you tried updating your drivers?
    • Could you tell us what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    In the meantime, we suggest that you follow the steps in this article on how to project a wireless display
    with Miracast. This article is for Windows 8.1 and will also work in Windows 10.
