    winPE for Hard disk Diagnostics and Data Recovery purpose


    Hi Friends I am into Data Recovery , Disk Imaging services .I am planning to build advanced winPE USB pen drive for emergency booting and diagnostics purpose. My challenge is to integrate following features in Pen drive --- 1) Pen drive should have latest NVME and USB 3.0 drivers so as to access latest laptops . 2) It should support Mac HFS file system access. 3) Tool should detect hardware /software Raid servers. 4) It should have support for latest wi-fi standards protocol to get full internet standards I have downloaded winpe XPE and windows 10 pro plus workstation iso ( this version has more advanced architecture ,Bitlocker support etc) I want to know any suggestion from you guys who have done extensive research or experimentation . Thank you

    Hard Drive Data Recovery

    got a laptop pata hard drive that makes a slight constant clicking noise. hard drive is more than likely dead/dying right... i can see that partitions of the hard drive in disk management and i can see the partitions in my computer but i can't get to any of the data.

    any suggestions?

    Well, I'm sorry to hear that it's a WD My Passport that failed on you, @tomhenry ! *Frown winPE for Hard disk Diagnostics and Data Recovery purpose :(
    I'd recommend you to try using a different USB cable with it and see if that will help your system to detect it without it disconnecting.
    I'd also suggest you to go to Disk Management and see how the drive is listed there. It won't hurt to check up on the health and SMART status of the HDD by running the QUICK and EXTENDED tests from the WD's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics.     Give these troubleshooting steps a try and keep us posted with the results!
