Windows 10: WINPE unable to copy efisys_EX.bin from boot sector

When I run this command from the Deployment Imaging Tools Environment as the admin: copype amd64 D:\winpe_amd64.The working file structure is created. However, it fails to stage properly. The error message is: Unable to copy boot sector file: "C:\Program Files x86\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Deployment Tools\AMD64\Oscdimg\..\..\amd64\Oscdimg\efisys_EX.bin" to "D:\winpe_amd64\bootbins".My Windows version is:Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 2009 Installed on ‎2/‎21/‎2024 OS Build 19045.5608 My WINPE version is: 10.1.19041.1My ADK version is: 10.1.19041.1I am try to prepar

Failure when attempting to copy boot files (WinPE)

Hello,

for some reason the bootable windows installer does not work properly on my PC so I am trying to install windows 10 with WinPE.

I successfully apply the install.wim image with dism but when I try to copy the boot files with "A:\Windows\System32\bcdboot A:\Windows" I get "Failure when attempting to copy boot files".

Anyone know what I can do? I made sure the partition is active.

To prevent your files from being deleted from the Recycle Bin, we suggest increasing the maximum file size your Recycle Bin can keep by following the steps below:

• Right click on the Recycle Bin icon.
• Under the Settings for selected location, select Custom size.
• Fill up the box for your allotted maximum file size for your Recycle Bin.

PEMenu for WinPE

I just want to point out the difference in using this pemenu compared to just building it straight with Wimbuilder or WinXPE Using pemenu (compared to building application directly. e.g. Wimbuilder or WinXPE)

• WinPE USB can be removed and can be used in multiple computers after executing/ running the program. ( The executed application(s) will be copied to the RAM drive during execution ), but resides in the USB during winpe boot up, making loading winpe faster compared to copying all programs in RAM during bootup.

• Updating a program is as easy as just replacing the sfx archive contents with the updated program files.

• Editing the program to load on RAM or get executed on boot can be easily changed by simply changing entries in the pemenu.ini file.
