Windows 10: WinRS/WinRM can't access UNC path with CredSSP Double-Hop

I am trying to access a shared folder using unc path on server2 from clientX via WinRS to server1.clientX -> server1 -> server2 I followed all available instructions regarding WinRM and CredSSP configurations on clientX and server1 and it appears that everything was done as intended.hostname of clientX is 'clientX' acquired from cmd command 'hostname'full computer name of clientX is 'clientX' acquired from control panel > systemuser domain of clientX is 'CLIENTX' acquired from cmd command 'echo %userdomain%'hostname of server1 is 'server1'

One specific UNC path suddenly not working on one specific Win10 machine

Hi,

A month or two ago, my main computer stopped being able to access my NAS' UNC path (\\corbeau\...). It used to work.

• I do not remember changing anything on that NAS
• Other Win10 machines can access that same UNC path
• The problematic machine can access the NAS by using its IP in the UNC path (\\192.168.2.10\...)
• All machines can access other machines by their UNC path (\\cardinal\... or \\epervier\...)
• A ping for the NAS name from the problematic machine fails to resolve
• Pings from other machines work
• Every machine can ping other machines by their name

I'm totally lost. Where should I look for to resolve this very annoying issue?

Access to UNC path to same machine without network connection - differ in machines

Hi,

I found out that I can access the shared directory pointing to the same machine using UNC path even though, there is no network connection. This behaviour is different another machine, where I cannot access
the shared directory to the same machine using UNC path without network connection.

What is it that making different machines behaving differently in terms of accessing shared directory that points to the same machine when there is not network connection?
