  3. Windows install wipe ubuntu

    Hi m005eman,

I'm Paul, a fellow customer like you & a Windows 10 Independent Advisor.

If you delete the partition & reformat your hard drive upon fresh OS install, then yes it will wipe them all.

However, if you only reformat the partition with Windows OS & your Ubuntu is on a separate partition, then your Ubuntu should be alright. Unless if it's in a Virtual Machine or in a Container then that's a different story.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions. Thank you!

    Sincerely,

    Paul A.

  4. Wipe Ubuntu from my system and clean install Windows: Cannot find biggest partition.

Can install Windows, can't install Linux

Are you doing a clean install?

Also if you are doing a clean install may I suggest this. Delete and format all partitions and let Ubuntu allocate the drive. You might have some MBR files left on the HD that is conflicting with Ubuntu booting.
