Windows 10: Wired connection ERR_CONNECTION_RESET on some sites

I'm getting the error page ERR_CONNECTION_RESET on Opera GX & Chrome at some sites for example webshare.io and reddit. But on reddit it refreshes the page and sometimes it loads the page its hit and missI'm only getting this issue with wired connections, ive got two wired computers which i have this issue on, the rest of my devices are wireless and these sites work perfectly fine on themthe issue only started after Virgin media sent us a new box identical to the old box nothing changedThings I've TriedResetting Computers & RoutersDisabling FirewallTried Opera GX, Chrome & Edgeipc

ERR_CONNECTION_RESET on some sites

I'm getting the "Hmmm… can't reach this page" error page (ERR_CONNECTION_RESET) on Edge, on some sites including bing, adobe community and brave. If I refresh the page a few times eventually it works. Udemy videos also load only I refresh many times. I don't know what is causing this, it started suddenly.

I've tried:

• restarting router and laptop
  
• ipconfig release and renew
  
• netsh int ip reset, netsh winsock reset
  
• setting DNS to 8.8.8.8
  
• disabled firewall
  
• tried brave and chrome - same issue
  

This issue does not occur on my other 2 devices (a work laptop and my smartphone).

Type the following command in command prompt (administrator)

How to Fix ERR_CONNECTION_RESET Error?

netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface “Wireless Network Connection 4” mtu=1472 store=persistent

replace Local Area Connection with the name of your network adapter and hit Enter

err_connection_reset
