    I have older version windows 10, had power outage, have netgear(att)modem/router/wireless

    I can connect laptop to wireless,but not desktop to dsl(cable),somethings missing I have changed settings and am lost here thanks

    Nothing changes when I plug in the cable on my PC but remove it from the router.

    Hello

    Today I bought a Ethernet cable to use however I am having problems setting it up. I've updated my driver for 'Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller' and I have followed some guides and threads on the internet, but nothing I have tried has worked.

    I have attached a copy of the error I am getting, the cable is plugged into my computer and my internet router, so I'm really puzzled why the error says the cable is unplugged.

    Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Are you using WiFi router connected to wired DSL, or wired DSL connected to PC with WiFi USB adapter?

    WEP key is generated for specific wireless connections. This option is usually provided in Windows XP as well as the software provided with WiFi adapters.

    I am not clear about you as to what type of device are you using?

    My experience is about low price WiFi adapter enabling N95 to connect to wired internet through PC, which I am presently enjoying.
