Windows 10: wired earphones are not being detected when plugged in.

Whenever I try to plugin and use my headphones or earphones, they don't get detected. So I have to restart my laptop every time.This has been happening since almost 3-4 months now. I've tried updating the drivers, windows, reinstalling updates, running trouble shooter, manually installing and updating drivers and re-imaged the laptop twice. But still the same issues happens again and again.Re-imaging helped for a week or two but after that, It goes back. I am definitely sure there is nothing wrong with the jack because whenever I restart the laptop it works fine.device - XPS 15 9520.

Wired earphones not working on windows 11

Hi Igor,

My wired earphone is not detected (below screenshot). I am sure that I plugged in my wired earphone and the same earphone is working with other computers. Usually, if I plugged in my wired earphone and restart the computer it would work. it would not work if I plugged out the earphone and plugged it again. That means I have to plugged in earphone and restart to make the earphone work. However, it is not always feasible. Do you have further suggestions please? Thanks.

Windows not detecting earphones plugged in after unplugging. Drivers are up to date, installing the driver and reinstalling did not solve it. The only way to get Windows detecting the earphones is by restarting the computer or disabling and reenabling or uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. But then again when unplugging the earphones it windows will not detect it when plugging it in.

It's about earphones that is plugged in in the aux jack.

Did not solve it.

To make clear the problem: When I reboot the computer and plug in the earphone it detects it but when unplugging and replugging it does not detect it.
